WHY I LOVE TO RACE... / ORSCA ULTIMATE OUTLAW SHOOTOUT/WAS 1320X EVENT

I JUST WANT TO TELL A LITTLE STORY................................ WELL I WAS TORN BETWEEN RACING AT MY LOCAL TRACK ODS WHO WAS HAVING THERE LARGEST SHOW OF THE YEAR ARE GOING TO LEBANON VALLEY NEW YORK FOR THE ULITMATE OUTLAW SHOOTOUT SERIES # 1. WELL I ENDED UP GOING TO NY. SHOULD HAVE TAKEN ME 6 HRS TO SMITTYS HOUSE TOOK 10HRS (4HRS 100 MILES IN TRAFFIC) LEFT MY HOUSE AT 2:00PM AND ARRIVED AT SMITTY,S AT 11:30PM. TRIP HOME WAS 71//2HRS AND GOOD GOD THE TOLLS OUTRAGEROUS!!!!!!

It was a great day of racing with some awesome racing and insane weather...Take it easy man...

As I don't work, I will be the one taking dad to chemo etc. etc. etc. I am racing on Saturday - tomorrow at the eighth mile track that I took my street car too, but this time I will have my drag car. We have put the motor back in it for now and will deal with the motor issues later before it goes into the new full chassis car. I hope I have my mind on the job....
Sorry to bother you with my woes, just had to vent.

You seem to have made some mods across the board to the camaro. I hope these help. I can remember the first 9 sec pass I did, it was a 9.98 but that didn't matter, just to see that 9. Be warned, you never want to see a 10 again and you will see many of them!! Hey, I am enjoying this music while I type. When the motor has got what it's got, then the suspension is all you've got left to play with, but an efficient car can show more horsepower than it has actually got. Do you have a ladder bar or four link rear end set up? I've spent hours, and then more hours researching ladder bar set ups and I actually worked ours out myself. The "experts" all had their ideas, but we decided in the end that we had no one to blame but ourselves if we came up with our own settings. Mapped it all out on the factory floor - life size - and it works like a treat. There aren't many options with a ladder bar, but just getting the ride height right, finding the centre of gravity etc all help with finding that "sweet" spot. Launches better than it ever has. My sons car has a four link set up - now that's a different thing all together - 100's of different settings!! Typical women, I go on and on. Sorry to bore you, but I hope you get it all sorted and see that 9 sec pass.
