Article Date: 21 March 2010 The first half of this weekend’s
massive weekend of sportsman racing at Willowbank Raceway has
concluded, with the 1320x Australia event deemed a success by
organisers. The filming of the new reality drag racing program
which focuses on the stories and racing of grassroots competitors,
took place over Friday night and Saturday, with the event
concluding with the Quick 8 and Quick 32 competition last night.
Street Machine of the Year Winner Angela Dow took glory in the
Quick 8 competition, before competitors Brad Wooldridge and Adam
Solomon shared the final honours of the Quick 32 competition. 1320x
Australia Executive Producer Joe Frazzica was pleased with the
event. “Wow what a success! Willowbank Raceway is an awesome venue,
the day went without a hitch, and Australia’s toughest grassroots
drag cars were there for all to see, it was just awesome!,” said
Frazzica. Racer Adam Solomon was happy to make the final for the
Quick 32 despite struggling with car issues earlier in the day. “It
was great, the car gave us a little trouble from having to idle for
longer periods than usual,” said Solomon. “But other than that,
what a weekend! We just wanna race, and this weekend was great!”
Racer Brad Wooldridge gave his nod to 1320x Australia for
encouraging sportsman drag racing on the drag strip, rather than
the streets. “It’s great, I basically grew up street racing when we
were kids,” said Wooldridge. “Its great to have events like 1320X
Australia to get people off racing on the streets, because we just
didn’t have events like this when we were kids. Bring on the July
1320X Australia event!” Frazzica Productions producer Luke Zietara
said 1320xaustralia.com is the place to look for upcoming
information on when the shows from this weekend’s action will go to
air. “The day went perfectly, the drivers have been great in front
of the cameras and the Willowbank Raceway staff were brilliant to
work with,” said Zietara. “From a production prospective it is
going to work out amazingly because every car in the field was
perfectly presented - these drivers are natural professionals, and
I can’t wait to start putting the two shows together - 1320X
Australia & the 1320X Australia out takes show. “Everyone needs
to keep tuned to
www.1320xaustralia.com for some
sneak peaks and the announcement of when the episodes will go to
air.”

1320X Australia is working on a plan to reduce our carbon omissions
at our drag racing events. We will be introducing a number of
incentives to achieve this. The first one will be recycling of all
recyclable materials. You can help us by disposing of waste in the
appropriate recycle bins. We will have the recycle symbol on the
bins around the track. Please help make our events green. The
environment is everyone’s responsibility.

1320X Australia would like to thank the City of Ipswich and
Willowbank Raceway for their support with the 1320X Australia Drag
Racing Television Series. We have been in negotiations for months
with Ipswich and can now reveal that we will be holding 2 events at
Willowbank Ipswich 2010 and that it will be the official home of
1320X Australia. As we now have a home track we will be able to
stabilize the series and concentrate on doing what we do best which
is a first class television series showcasing our grass roots drag
racers and our beautiful country.

Mayor Paul Pisaslae, Ipswich City Council with Joe Frazzica,
Executive Producer, 1320X Australia "We are thrilled to
officially have a home track where we can hold some outstanding
grass roots racing. Who doesn't love spending time in Queensland!
We could not be happier with the outcome of our negotiations that
have been on-going for the past year. We look forward to some great
racing and TV shows to come out of Ipswich our home track." - Joe
Frazzica
